Taste of Tribeca is thrilled this year to have the participation of 68 neighborhood restaurants. As in years past, our 2015 class list offers a wide range of cuisines and culinary styles. We have Italian, French, Mexican, Japanese, Japanese-Peruvian, Argentinian, Greek, Macanese, Laotian, Spanish, Puerto Rican, and of course American, both Classic and New. Casual eateries, bustling bistros, bakeries, pubs, places where you can bring your family, places best reserved for date night.
We welcome back our 55 returning restaurants, with a special tip of the hat to our 7 Golden Restaurants – Bouley, Bubby’s, Duane Park Patisserie, Gigino Trattoria, The Odeon, Tribeca Grill, and Walker’s – marking their 21st consecutive year with Taste of Tribeca. We also say hello to our 13 newcomers: Almond, Baked, Bar Cyrk, Barleycorn, Belle Reve, Café Noir, Church Street Tavern, Gran Morsi, Little Park, Revolution Sandwich NY, Tutti Il Giorno, and White Street.
We boast several critical favorites. Jungsik is one of only nine NYC restaurants to receive two Michelin stars in 2015, while Bouley and Brushstroke each has one, and Khe-Yo is a Bib Gourmand pick. Bouley has three stars from the New York Times, with Brushstroke, Jungsik, Little Park, Locanda Verde, and Restaurant Marc Forgione each claiming two.
One of our participants isn’t even a restaurant. Hook & Ladder 8, aka Ghostbusters Headquarters, is a Tribeca landmark and working firehouse, and a friendly crew of firefighters will be returning this year to share their skills. On their menu: meatball sliders.
There are just three weeks to go, and as we count down the days, we will be posting pictures of dishes that will be sure to whet your appetite. So please check back … and check back often!
