Celebrate the 24th Annual Taste of Tribeca on Saturday, May 19, 2018

New York, NY (April 16, 2018) Taste of Tribeca, Lower Manhattan’s premier outdoor food festival and public school fundraiser, kicks off its 24th season with tickets on sale now at The festival, made possible by Citi and other generous sponsors, boasts an impressive lineup of local restaurants, pubs and wine shops, and live entertainment for the whole family.

Taste of Tribeca brings together over 60 of Tribeca’s best restaurants to benefit arts and enrichment programs at local elementary schools PS 150 and PS 234. This year’s class is led by the Golden Restaurants — Bouley, Bubby’s, Duane Park Patisserie, Gigino Trattoria, The Odeon, Tribeca Grill and Walker’s — that have participated annually since 1994. They are joined by five newcomers: 1803, specializing in Cajun-Creole cuisine; the Italian restaurant L’Angolo; Greca, sister to local favorite The Greek; Love Bug Café Play, a café and play space; and Tetsu, a modern Japanese robatayaki.

A family event, Taste of Tribeca 2018 will offer enhanced activities for our youngest visitors. A new Family Zone will feature coffee and pastries from Love Bug Café Play, along with a Mashbooths photo booth. Pixel Academy will offer a variety of STEM activities. Our Kids’ Zone, sponsored by NewYork Presbyterian-Lower Manhattan Hospital, will feature Hollywood face painters, live demonstrations by Modern Martial Arts and BB Skate Club, and activity tables hosted by Craft Studio and Spotlight Kids. And Manhattan Youth will be returning with their ever-popular roster of ball games in the Sports Zone, sponsored by Brown Harris Stevens.

For the adults, the 2018 Beer & Cider Tour will feature a line-up of New York State brewers such as Catskill Brewery, SingleCut Beersmiths, The Bronx Brewery and Brooklyn Cider House, poured at watering-holes Edward’s, Tribeca Tap House, Woodrow’s, Reade Street Pub, The Hideaway, Warren 77 and Mudville 9. Wine shops Chambers Street Wines, Frankly Wines, Tribeca Wine Merchants, Verve Wine and Broadway Spirits will be hosting complimentary tastings of specially-selected wines all afternoon.

Our soundstage, presented by City Winery, will feature performances by The Cynthia Sayer Band, Tribattery Pops and student musicians from the Church Street School of Music & Art.

General Tasting Cards ($45 early bird, $55 day of event) provide six tastes at the event, as well as one non-alcoholic beverage, and two pours on the Beer & Cider Tour. Premium opportunities include Family Tables ($700; and includes four tasting cards) and Friends Tables ($1,000; and includes six tasting cards), both levels offering reserved seating in the Premium Seating Tent hosted by Havas, with table service, designer event t-shirts and a gift bag from Taste of Tribeca sponsors.
