We are beyond saddened by the new reality for restaurants around the world that have had to close and lay off employees. Here in Tribeca a number of restaurants have shut their doors for safety and financial reasons, while some remain open for pick-up and delivery. Many of them are selling gift cards and merchandise online and in-store, and some have set up GoFundMe campaigns for the benefit of their employees.
The list of organizations in need is long and we all have causes close to our hearts. But we implore anyone who loves Tribeca or has ever enjoyed Taste of Tribeca, and especially the families (present and alumnae) of PS 150 and PS 234, to support our local restaurants as much as possible. When all of this is over, we will need our restaurants to be able to turn on their lights and open their doors, and secondarily we also hope that when we re-launch Taste of Tribeca, that they will be able to join us.
